Running Lumpy . Calling all locals (Kent, Sheppey/Swale area)

Hi all

My car has just this afternoon started running lumpy. On idle and driving. I could desperately use someone local with some know how.

I can hear a hissing noise from down by the brake servo but can't see anything myself. I have a day booked with Jimmer next week but ideally need it running well again before driving 200 odd miles to get to Jims.:(

If anyone has advice or is local and would like to help a fellow zedder put? ?? I'd be eternally grateful.

If the sound you can hear is the clutch booster leaking, ( common issue ) the engine will run rough as its drawing air in through the ruptured booster. You can disconnect the booster vacuum feed or clamp it either way try it and if the noise stops / engine runs better you will know this is the problem. You can leave it disconnected but the clutch will feel harder to press, if the servo is leaking replacement is the only answer.

Is it safe to drive you think? For instance, 200 miles to Jims?...

Oh, and I know I say the right hand gauge reads maximum boost... what I meant to say was "positive boost". I don't like recording videos that I talk over lol.
