There are some howler adverts on Ebay at the moment, some of the sale cars are nothing less than scrap cars been sold as projects that could be worth £6k when you have done... yes spend £8k doing it up and it will be worth £6k doh!

Anyhow copied and pasted a few save you looking through... enjoy !!

1) " So far it's had a full engine rebuild, and only driven 500miles before it was parked up. It needs the turbo`s replaced as they smoke. "

Eh ? after a rebuild

2) "I was going to fix the turbo`s and do a full new paint job and sell for £6000"

Eh? so buy for £2k (current bid) change turbo`s and repaint and goes up £4k in value ??? trouble is cost of the work is £4K + doh!

3) "Love the sound of those turbos spooling up. In the Z world they call these cars a flying kettle!"

Who? said that ??

4) "It has a misfire problem, everything was working when i last drove it."

Erm how about the misfire problem?

5) "I bought this car 1 and a half years ago, but Unfortunatly i dont have a V5 never got round to applying for it."

WELL DODGY !!

6) " Nissan 300 zx twin turbo convertible "

No you will find that is a targa top zed not a convertible

7) "The hiecast , self leveling , 4 wheel steer seem to be ok"

Self leveling ???????

8) "becoming a desirable classic sports car to own as many of them in there heyday were written off "

Rude !! I was an original owner

9) "i have taken her up and over the 130 mph on a private road i might say and even with the misfire "

Great sales patter there !

10) "Car has covered 167616 miles but truly does drive like new"

Except for the twin turbo bumper on a non turbo that looks red under the grey paint

11) "last camberly change listed on the paper work was at 123000 miles" now 167,616

Best get that camberly changed soon I reckon !

12) "Full JDM rear lights ( quite rare )"

How odd an import would come with full jdm lights and how rare................NOT! ( same as UK one`s anyhow )

13) "1992 UK K reg Nissan 300 3.0 ZX Targa Standard Features - Airbags, "

No wrong ! no air bags.....tut tut trader should know better trade description act !!

Given the amount of series 1 zeds with K plate and above on them its difficult for the new to zed owner to know if they got what they really paid for, ie series 2 price but a series 2 zed !

Hopefully no one here from the ads I looked at but if so just a bit of fun guys and good luck with the sales and purchases.

I read the majority of these adverts at 01:30 this morning whilst toying with the idea of buying a second zed, with my current one being… erm… broken…

Anyway, thought back to it this afternoon and was wondering if I made up the bit about ‘hiecast self-levelling 4-wheel steering’ in some sort of sleepy haze. The guy is so far off the mark it’s hilarious!

I’d like to think that anyone who’s looking at a zed would do a bit of research and realised that the guy is talking nonsense…

I troll the ebay ads regular and howl most of the time at the drivel spouted.I have found myself sending the odd cheeky message to people who are clearly taking the piss ! one guy was selling a car i knew and it was ahem "a shed" with loads of problems, his ad made it out to be a peach !! .Went all the way to Staines the other week for a customer to look at a silver swb auto, bent mot, made up service history,Body work described as an 8/10 was more like a 4 !!! ebay is still seen as somewhere for many people to offload there problems !

Some usual shit you see on Z Adverts:

This car is immaculate except for some small rust bubbles on the rear arches.

'Immaculate' and 'rust' in the same sentence.....really!? ****ing really!?!?

Interior is mint apart from the usual bolster wear

Not fukkin' mint then is it twuntwaffle!

Very entertaining and filled with straight up rubbish!!! People say some of the dumbest crap to sale, things!!!

These sentences make me cry, contradicting them selves within 5 words.

What usually happens is people don't realise what they getting themselves into when buying a Zed unless they have done good research! It goes with any project car it's gona need work and effort, and after its sat on the drive for 6 months and nothing's been done Z owners want to sell and try to get they money back! If your wise enough you'll pick up on the bullshit in the ads simples!

What baffles me is when they say it's worth 7k when done? Has anybody ever sold one for that price lol?
