I finally decided to improve my listening quality inside the Z specially on my long weekend drives along the coast. I am not going into deep heavy stuff like subwoffer etc..I would never drill a single hole on my Z. But after digging around a bit, I finally decided to go for these products.

I been told that at least it´s going to improve the sound quality and most of all this radio will help me to tune into us stations into my app Iphone using my annual vpn.

please really need your advice on this, anyone has alpine and what do ya´ll think about these?

cheers mates

Don't really know anything about these exact products, but Alpine are a good brand so I don't really see how far wrong you can go. Remember if you don't have an aftermarket head unit already, then you'll need an iso adapter to plug it into the zed.

Also not sure 6.5" speakers always fit in standard doors without either some modifications (space them out from the door) or new speaker panels, like these https://conceptzperformance.com/maniacal-motorsport-front-speaker-door-plate-brackets-non-bose-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-mm-28160-30pkt_p_16782.php. You'll have to have a look at yours though I think.

Component speakers would make a huge difference, but doesn't sound like you'll want to mount the tweeters anywhere. Though you don't have to drill holes or anything, I've toyed with the idea of pillar single gauge holders with tweeters in them.

Oh and on the subject of not wanting to alter your zed at all (again don't know if you have an aftermarket head unit already), but if you want to stereo to dim when the lights are on you'll have to take a feed from somewhere for the lights. I took mine from the clock underneath (as it dims when the lights are on), not a big job or anything and it's not like drilling holes in the dash, but something to bear in mind. You may find it unbearably bright at night if you don't!

Sorry if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs :innocent:

You can do it like this with the stock metal brackets:

Depending on the speaker, you may also need to remove metal around the mounting bracket area which

the speaker frame passes through to get the speaker to sit properly on the ring.

Agreed and this was my approach by mounting the tweeters in the mirror sail panel:

Chris if I just wanted to upgrade without drilling a single hole in any place...would you recommend me just getting a more powerful radio unit and speakers?

I think I would go with Pionner but what model?

btw. my actual radio has 50x4W

I'm no expert or anything, just an amatuer that's dabbled on my own car's occasionally, but yea that would be a great improvement on stock speakers.

If you've already got an aftermarket headunit, might not be much point in getting another unless you want some extra features.
