Hi Guys,

I joined back in 2012 but never got round to buying a 300zx, ended up down the s2000 route and currently have a modified 240z

The 240z is up for sale soon so I am looking to purchase a 300zx tt manual.

I already have a complete twin turbo engine ready to go in so if there are any with a blown engine around I'd be interested in hearing about them.

Cheers,

Adam

Ah yes I do recognise it, can't put my finger on who sold it though.

The guy I bought it off fitted reconned turbo and a new hks recirculation valves , plugs oil etc

I think he had it about 6 months and barely got to use it as he had apart for most of that .

Sorted a few boost leaks today and it goes like a scalded cat !!

My 350z isn't slow but this thing is awesome .

It's got a head gasket issue so I'm going to pull the motorget it sorted and put a new cambelt/ water pump kit on it .then tackle the body work , it's solid apart from a bit on the sill . I'm used to rust , it's a Datsun at ❤️

Well it took me a while to get my 300zx as I bought a 350z first after the 240z sold.

Does any body know the car ? It's a black jap tt was auto converted to manual , it's got a few mods and I be interested to chat to previous owners

The reg is H406XWW , think it's been worked on by automodz as it has a few invoices from them and a print out for 441 bhp

I know rustysills owned it on here it I think, since then it's been passed on with different owners, I would suggest lee dent in Shrewsbury or Jimmer in Bristol to give the car a once over

I've been reading the posts and adds on this car , seems like rusty sills spent a small fortune on it, think perhaps the new owner gave it too much stick and blew the head gasket and maybe a ring ...

never mind , I have a low mileage motor I took out of my mates damaged car a few years back .

I had it shipped back from 5 mile town in NI last week and currently in a depo in Cardiff ready for delivery Monday .

The latest owners took off the the vented front panel and momo wheel , gutted I like both those bits !!

Thinking of fitting some wide band lamda sensors whilst I'm at it and get it mapped for reliability. Can anyone personally recommend a mapping house with a rolling road in Bristol / Cardiff ?

Thanks for the help guys . I would love a chat with rustysills if he's still on here ?

Talk to Jimmer at Powerzed in Bristol, he will sort out a health check for you and make sure it's right before you progress. He will also be able to point you towards who he sends his customers to, to tune the engines he builds.
