I had a little drive in a brand new BMW X5 M50d today - and considering it's still only a 3 litre (albeit triple turbo charged) diesel '6; boy does it shift for a heavy lump of a vehicle......!!

It might put out "just" 381bhp; but it's good for 0-62 in 5.3s and considering its bulk and high centre of gravity, it handles itself bloody damn well too. Hell, I could even be tempted into buying one...... If I didn't prefer petrol over diesel and would still rather have a sports car. Great fun, nonetheless; and it sure surprised some random person in an Audi TTS, who could not (ahem) gain any advantage over the Beemer on a nice dual carriageway....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

They sure do Dan! I was suitably impressed.

3 Turbo's sound like fun Rich

LOL, yup! Especially on a straight six

Whenever I see them, they scream "Drug dealer" to me. Same as the Range Rover sport shouts "footballer"

I must concur....... this one was black, with tints and 20 inch graphite wheels
