looking for a set of black recaro speed must be in very good condition

seen them to ruff want a nice set

Aside from DC5 ones and those with the Confetti trim, there aren't actually that many Speeds that are trimmed in black... I think you'll be paying big bucks to find a really good pair!

There's also the ones from the Evo 4. Bolsters tend to collapse though so it's hard to get perfect ones.

The problem with the Evo IV ones is that they're not black, which Dan seems to be pretty specific about. They're certainly likely to be the cheapest option though :)

Well the sides are - if he wants full black I think the DC5 ones are the only option.

The outers are dark grey :)

At least, every single Evo IV seat I've seen (with those bizarre orange centres) has been dark grey!

But I agree; DC5 ones are pretty much his only option and they tend not to be cheap....

think am going to buy new black leather ones

think am going to buy new black leather ones

If that's the case, then you need to be aware that any being sold as Ambla Leather aren't leather at all - it's a synthetic leather!

yes they all seem to be that, is there any reason not to have it ?

It just won't wear as well as real leather would, that's all.

You're going to be spending over £1k on a pair of seats here... you could buy a secondhand pair and have them retrimmed in leather for less than that!

For example: Demon Tweeks

£1,156 for a pair of plastic seats!

I nearly splashed out on those a few years ago, I had no idea they weren't decent leather. I assumed, being Recaro and "relatively" expensive, that they would be.

As synthetic leathers go, Ambla is decent stuff. But it's very much synthetic leather!

For the cost of those brand new, you could pick up a secondhand pair, replace any bolsters that needed it and have them retrimmed to your exact spec and still have some change... :thumbup1:

That's what I was going to suggest, before i'd noticed you had already suggested it, get a set of secondhand seats and have them Mondo'd up in the colour and style that suits you, I managed to pick up both my Sparco Torino's and my Koenig's for reasonable money a few years ago and have had the Koenigs re-upholstered for less than buying new. Plus they're different to everybody elses:thumbup1:

found them here a little cheaper , the ambla will be ok for me as the car is just a toy for missing about it for a few hours each week

So £1,050 for a pair of plastic seats?

I think for my needs the ambla leather with fine for me, only am going to ever see it like, and car wont see much use atall

I'm considering using the WTF! button...

Looks like someone's used it on you..!!

so whats the issues here I just want brand new seats not re trimmed old ones, real leather or ambla really makes no odds with me atall, so why all the WTF ?

I have plenty going on with the car as it is just bolt in new seat money not a issue now

Fair enough. It's your money, man!

I was keep the stock seat yes I would re do them. if a nice set or speeds came up I would have them. but having to get a set them pay shipping to mine then sorting out what I want them reshipping them out then back again plus staying off work to wait for them to be send back packing fone calls ect its to much messing around and time I don't have, so just getting new ambla ones makes sense to me, the time off work would cost me a lot more than the savings I will make, if already had a set of speed here are you was local then in that's situation then yes I would drop em off and do them. hope that's makes sense that's just how I see it :thumbup1:
