Rear fog lights

Hello people I'm at a bit of a loss my zed is up for mot soon And well I forgot like a twit to save some money up an get my new centre panel all light up an sorted with the fogs lights.

Well to cut a story real short the panel I have on now is broken so I want to install the rear fog light in top section on both sides . What leds would I have to use so there bright enough to work an pass a mot

Thank you

I just got Andy (Phutumsch) to sort mine out mate:thumbup1:, if it's just for the MOT, why not get a cheap fog light and fix to the bottom of the bumper, it would be a temporary fix until you get the integrated setup but would pass MOT:thumbup1:

Just get a red filament 1156 bulb for now and put in the r/h side chamber, you will need to connect the cabin fog switch live wire to it though of course.

Oh and EDIT : The reverse lights are not part of a MOT test fyi, but the way above will keep your l/h one.

Please remember when i do send a fog top reverse light bottom conversion back, both the reverse stock plugs are still used, there is then a trailing wire which you'll need to connect up to the fog live which will come somewhere from your cabin switch.

So please keep this in mind before you start a snipping !!

And going back to your earlier question, i'ts not just a simple as buying red led's off the shelf and just plonk in there, they need to be as bright as the brake lights for a start, amongst other things that needs doing.

Definitely need it doing. Ive already put on place a switch that lights up when on :) my mot station have told me that the way I explained the centre panel with the fog lights there telling me it may not pass the mot...which I thought was really strange. For the time being how much would it set me back to buy off you the fog light unit so I can get my car thru a mot else where

The tester may not of grasped what you were telling him, there are rules about proximity to other lights i believe though but he'd be an incredible ass if he failed our set up.

I will pm you, i can supply the 2 x reverse light chambers with the fogs in and all you'll do is remove your 'basic' chambers and screw the new ones on, btw your new fog/reverse light chambers can migrate to any panel.
