Trying to find out which fuse relates to the head unit by checking the on-line manual, also trying to trace the power lead which seems to go towards the passenger door and back, does anyone know where this ends up as a plug may be disconnected,i've still no power?????????

Featured Replies

The fuses are in the drivers footwell next to the accellerator pedal, there's a flap in the kick panel.. I think it's near the top left for Audio..

One thing - have you checked the stereo has an earth? When I put mine in, the only earth was via the aerial lead, and as I had to replace the plug, the stereo then had no earth lead (and no turny on..) so I had to wire one from the black wire on the DIN plug to the handy screw terminal on the tranny tunnel..

I have checked the earth and it's there although i don't think the fuse is where you said it should be i think that space is empty.

Do you know where the power lead comes from as it seems to be heading towards the back of the car??????

Hmmmmmmmmmm!

There's a translation page for the fuses somewhere.. I'll find it tomorrow (knackered now!)..

I think the only power cable that runs that way is for the power antenna, and I think that comes off the same loom that the stereo does - not sure, because I just got a Nissan->ISO standard adapter loom for the stereo (which was so big it made it hard to get the stereo in, but that's another story!)..

I'll think more tomorrow when I'm a little more awake Alex..

Yeah that's the one Andy - showoff.. :)
