kaned Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Hi all, It was only during my first engine pull last weekend that I noticed the routing of the power steering hoses. They route forward from the power steering pump, across in front of the radiator, back along through the engine bay, just to get to the left side of the steering rack. I can only assume this is for an optional PS fluid cooler, or is it for fluid quantity purposes? Can it be rerouted a more direct route to the rack? While the engine Is out Im trying to find an NA PS pump to get rid of all remainder of the hicas pipes which are currently just looped. Quote
dougal200 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 It can be rerouted far more directly but it takes this route for cooling. On the uk spec cars I think there are actually cooling fins on the front pipe section. An na pump does tidy things up a bit Quote
kaned Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Oh right, I figured there must have been a reason - seems a terribly in efficient way to get some heat out of the fluid, but it must help somehow Quote
