Anyone else done one of these? Not had a model kit for years, going to get a 350z model too so I can match my wheels and make it look as much like mine as possible.

Did a bit more on this today with the weather being do wet and miserable. I painted the exhaust, gearbox and most of the engine. Then put together the gearbox, engine complete with rocker covers, sump, turbos, cam belt and fan:)

Also managed to add some of the black trim on the body. Should have more updates tomorrow!

Like the nail varnish !

Haha, I know.... I made a right mess of my myself:lol:

As Tamiya and Fujimi only do the SWB non turbo engine with turbo bumper; I geeked it up and modified it to the TT engine and as close as I could get to my wheels .:gunsmilie:

I'm seriously debating 3d printing a new bumper for one, i don't know how I'm going to get a bumper to scale in CAD though!

Oooh, could be a small market for them, I didn't think about 3D printing one. It would be difficult, I suppose a starting point would be to create a 3d box around an original bumper, take the box dimensions and start from there......1/24-25.

I'm working on it, if it works out I'll be sure ti keep you updated. I really wanted to make a custom Impul bumper for a tamiya model so i'll see how it goes!

That looks amazing! I hope mine looks this good when its finished:)

I've still got mine boxed with a set of 1/24 BBS LM wheels which were the nearest wheels I could find to mine at the time.

Think seeing the quality of work on this guys site put me off attempting it!!!

I've been thinking about creating a 99 spec for the front of mine.

The 3D should be easy enough, I drew up a 99spec front a few years ago.

I'm just starting work on my new 1/12 kit

I made the 3d model, I just need to get it sorted for printing now :)
