Series 4 Plenum on a '93 Z

Hi guys, had a quick search on here and didn't get a definitive answer..

So, the series 4 plenum does fit on a '93 TT engine but what modifications do I need to do (if any)??

Thanks..

Richie

does your engine have an egr ? as you will need to get rid of it.

The series 4 has the holes but they have rotated them slightly so old pipes wont fit.

I've already bought an EGR delete kit mate:thumbup1: Anything else??

I have seen series 3 cars fitted with the later series plenum/engine, either it's factory or been swapped out.

Visibly you know for sure you have now the early 89 plenum ?

My plenum doesn't have the "J30" brackets over the throttle springs Andy, i said I'd get Lee's one and get it powdercoated up while my engine is out:thumbup1: So it should be straight forward enough now I'm blanking up the EGR??

Ok, Lee is your man but iirc i thought he said a few year ago they wouldn't go on :), sure he'll clarify further.

EGR tubes wont fit as they have rotated the bolt holes about a 1/4 turn.

Strangely series 4 don't have egr so they already have the ports blocked with a gasket and plate.

So the only bit needing blocked up would be the whole at the back of the engine.

Not a big job so.... I hope:biggrin:. Lee, you reckon it'll work fine??
