I agree on all fronts about the values, it's certainly not something to worry about, but I see no reason why you wouldn't be happy with an appreciating classic.

 

Personally, I've always taken an interest in the values as its a "nice to know" thing. However, it has never ruled my perception of the car or dictated the way I use the car. I never worry about its value, I never loose any sleep over it, I use the car when I want to use it and I choose to keep it as clean and tidy as possible because I'm very proud of it.

 

It's value would not change any of those things [emoji106]

 

 

I think that's the best way of putting it. These cars should imo be worth much more now. I have no doubt it will change in the future and I am guilty of occasionally looking at what there on for in auto trader.

 

I also take alot of pride in my car too... I think the neighbours think I'm sad as I'm always outside cleaning it lol... I think I'll only get worse once its had its respray done next year too.

 

My car is far from being an ornament that's kept wrapped up in a blanket though, if I wake up in the morning and fancy driving to work in it instead of my commuter, then I will.

So wish I'd left my slicktop standard that's what mine looked like when I picked it up 10 years ago . Now its covered in fibreglass oh well you live and learn. surpose it can be converted back to standard at some point if that's where the value lays .This is what has happened to Renault 5gt turbo all the boy racer kitted cars with different wheels etc are now being converted back to factory spec and making big money .

Sequential turbos, worth $30k and modified heavily due to the F&F. Mate it's not a supra you know this yeh?
