Benstar Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Hi I had a nistune board fitted and tuned to my auto TT. When taking out the standard ecu we saw it had been changed at some point to a manual ecu, the tuner said it shouldn't be a problem for the gearbox as the 300 has a seperate ecu for it, is this true? I don't seem to have any issues with abrupt changes or the like, maybe just shift points seem to take a bit longer than i would expect but as this is my first 300 and auto i don't relly know how it should feel. Thanks Ben Quote
Alic Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Didn't know a manual ECU would work in an auto O.O Quote
Funkysi Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 They're interchangeable. I'm not sure on the actual map of the chip, but they'll run just fine. Quote
Benstar Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 Ok thanks, i was guessing the same as i dont seem to have any issues. Was just wondering about the auto cars having a seperate ecu controlling gear changes etc. Quote
rolandas Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Auto boxes does have a separate ecu. Auto ecu will work on manual and auto. But not manual on auto Quote

Benstar Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 Well as an unwitting test subject :) it does seem to work fine........ Quote
Noz Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 No difference whatsoever as far as the hardware is concerned. Quote
