Hi, I am a 300ZX wannabe, who lives near Guildford, Surrey. I have been checking out ZX sites for a while, and was wondering if any of you could recommend a decent Nissan/ZX Garage for servicing my Z(when I get it..) any help would be cool...

Featured Replies

I bought mine from a dealer near you in Ripley. Had it back there several times for gearbox repair and all sorts of things. Jobs take forever, were never checked and well, the list goes on.

An example, amongst other problems, took it back to get the speedo fixed as it dropped off (to 0) at 80mph. They say they fixed it but tested the car upto 70mph. Whats that all about?

After having it serviced at Zedworld, it turns out that they were also using parts (plugs etc) not suitable for use in the uk with our fuel.

I wont be taking it anywhere else but Zedworld from now on. Not worth the risk.

Regards

Cheers, I know the garage. Gonna show my ignorance of the Zx scene, now, and ask where(and what) "Z World" is... I seem to remember seeing it on a site or Board somewhere??..

As the subject. The specialise in the 300zx. I think Jeff plans to start selling cars in the new year, I think I read this in his "Plans for 2003" post. He has his own forumn on the site, check it out.

as you are down south, then Darren is the best mechanic, PERIOD, for you.

Personally I think a person you would benefit from 'conzulting' (was that corny?) is Darren in kent!

He works 90% of the time on Z's, he was UK Nissan's mechanic of the year two years running and then Fifth in the european finals!

He has used the 'original' diagnostic system for many years and could probably give you many pointers for improving your current model!

i have known/used him for 2-3 years, and many other use him too.

i will have to let someone else give you the number though, as i lost it.. ! doh ! (washing machines and bits of paper do not mix..)

i think he is currently sorting out a new dealership in maidstone, but also has own workshops where Z's are the only entrants... apart from the odd 200 ;)

New dealership in Maidstone, eh?

Well, blimey, that's convenient for someone who lives in .... Maidstone:D

Don't actually have one at the mo, but looking to remedy that ASAP!!

CheerZ,

John.

Nice 1, Craig. Maidstone 60mls from me. Is Darren member of this board? Am looking to find a Z in Jan/Feb next year, and he could be just the guy I'm looking for, or even better, he may have the car I'm looking for..

Haxman,

I dont live a million miles away from you and the ONLY mechanic I let near my Z is Mark at Euro-Spec2000 near Camberley.

He specialises in Japanese performance cars and is 100% trustworthy and VERY reasonable.

Cheers and good luck,
