If im replacing the exhaust, then i might as well bubble rap the cats.

I heard if you don't replace the cats with a correct diameter pipe. There is not enough back pressure left, resulting in over boosting and turbo problems.

So those chaps that have replaced there cats with straight through pipes, where have you got them from and have you had any turbo problems?

the problem is that youre taking the cats out to reduce back pressure - thats the whole point in decatting!! the size of the pipes is largley irrelevant, you risk your turbos blowing oil from the rear seals & smoking.

I have just bought some de-cat pipes from the Z centre and as far as i was aware along as you still kept suitable back pressure in the rest of the exhaust then there should not be a problem

How do you keep suitable back pressure? My cats are getting decatted tomorrow. :D

ahhhhhhhh, i see now, you need a special "back pressure valve" !! :D

Yeah like some sort of breathing kit ;)

Not sure about the back pressure kit , is there one available ??

I am just making sure that i have suitable back pressure in the 4 rear silencers , on this point the de-cat pipes i am gonna get will do away with the hoses that are fitted at present and that annoying cat warning light (import) any body know how far the hoses should be taken back ???

Look, if you de-cat you reduce exhaust back pressure. thats the point of doing it!! if you have a performance rear section, then thats gonna reduce back pressure even more. got it? good!

The Breather Kit is a joke.

People on hear did a group buy of a breather kit to stop the back presure building up too must. Many people bought and paid up and considerably less people got anything in return.

I dont know how much pipe to use, you can decat it with a long drill bit. Take off the pipe and drill out the cat. :D

Stuart

I understand now about the breather kit joke a little before my time thanks for explaining Stuart
