Norfolk boy living in Suffolk now. Before I get any comments on incest I'm an only child so I'm not rooting my sister and I have 10 fingers and toes that aren't webbed together ?

I've had my Z for about a month now. I brought it off a guy in Colchester, overall a very tidy car and very fun to drive. It was advertised saying it had had the following upgrades :

1. New Uprated Cambelt and Pulleys

2. 2 New High Pressure Turbos - Very little or no Turbo Lag

3. Uprated Racing Clutch to take increase in BHP

4. Full Stainless Steel Exhaust System

5. New Vented and Slotted Disc all Round

6. New High Performance Break Pads

7. Nitrogen Fully adjustable suspension Coilovers

8. Limited Slip Diff

9. Rear wheel steer

10. Recent Radiator and new coolant.

BUT.... Am yet to get any proof of it ? The guy I brought it off seemed really genuine and still keep in contact with him now but said there aren't any receipts due to the specialist in Lincolnshire liking cash if you know what I mean... He said he was going to contact him for me to get a list of exactly everything that's he done but he's apparently struggling to get hold of him now so I don't know what to think. Apparently he's going to do everything he can to try and get hold of him this weekend for me but time will tell I suppose... He said he has some pictures of the car with the engine out and new turbo's being fitted that he's sending over to me too but really want more than that to give me an idea of where to start with upgrades etc...

It does drive great but I think it needs tuning up and mapping properly so if anyone knows of someone in my area that could help with that it'd be great as I'm struggling to find anyone to help me so far... I'm thinking about getting a standalone ECU but until funds are available for that I want to map/upgrade the current one if possible?

Any help on this would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Club! A visual inspection will confirm 1,4,5,6(possibly),7(the adjustable bit) and 10 (the radiator bit).

A LSD and rear wheel steer (HICAS) is fitted from the factory.

What is the service history? - In particular cambelt replacement.

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Yeah it's definitely had new discs/pads, exhaust, suspension and the radiator done (I was just being lazy and copy and pasted the ad haha) I think the gear box and clutch have been done as the clutch is stiff as hell and it's got short shift fitted. I've got no reason not to believe the guy I brought it off as I said he does seem genuine and a nice bloke at that... There's not much service history with it but at a guess I'd say they more than likely changed the cam belt if/when the changed the pulleys. Cheers

Welcome to the club

No need for a standalone ecu, the Nissan ecu is very flexible unless you are wanting to ditch the airflow meter and use a map sensor

Nistune upgrade is about £250 or so I think

I spoke to the guys at APT yesterday and they said they wouldn't be able to help me with mapping or tuning unless I had a standalone ECU?

Welcome to the club mate

Welcome to the club Jason. I work away at the moment in glorious North West Wales but when I can I go home to the wife and the Zed in Barnham. If you ever want a brew and a Zed chat, pop over with your motor and we can have a look over it. There are a few member in our area and as soon as I finish my time working in Anglesey I will be able to join in on the meet scene again. Keep an eye out for events in the EA Region at the bottom of the forum home page. Hopefully met up soon, all the best, Tony.

Looking good there Jason, well worth the cleaning effort and she has scrubbed up lovely. I should be back home next weekend for a few days if you're about?

Great to see another good example of a ZED in sunny Suffolk!
