Search is your friend, but the blue touch paper is lit now, so stand well back ;)

As long as it is good quality I dont think it makes too much of a difference. People change the oil every 3000 to 4000 miles so its not in there long enough to worry about.

I used to use Moble Full synth 0-40 but my engine had a knocking noise. I changed to semi synth 15-50 and my engine is a lot quieter.

Always use full synth or semi synth oil. People say that you should only use full synth, but considering that it wasnt avaliable when the Z was released.

I think the only thing that matters is use good quality not cheap stuff, and change regularly.

I concur, (is that spelt correctly?).. It makes a change for some sense to be written about oil's....having said that there will be some which better suit the Z than others. I dont know which though. IMHO

is the one i have always used and never had any problems with it.

What I am saying is with the oil is, as long its a known good grade oil you put in your car and not some make you never heard of. Castrol, Mobil, Helix and other major brands of oil all say they are the best, and for me are all good enough for the Z. Not thier basic oils but their advanced oils.

Dont go for oils you never heard off and not made for performance engines.
