Evening all!

I would really appreciate it if those of you who have purchased ConZults from me (or other sources) if you could pass back some feedback. I'm especially interested in hearing about your experiences and any suggestions for future development.

Many thanks.

Danny

Well i got mine through ERIC, and i have to say im very impressed with this kit ERIC.

We used it to diagnose a hassle i had while at the nurburgring and it works a treat.

I use it for a bit of data logging and its also very cool.

Would be nice if it worked on some of the smaller OS platforms, ie HANDSPRING ECT.

Hi Danny,

I have seen the Conzult used to diagnose a fault on my car and I was extremely impressed!

Personally I think a person you would benefit from 'conzulting' (was that corny?) is Darren in kent!

He works 90% of the time on Z's, he was UK Nissan's mechanic of the year two years running and then Fifth in the european finals!

He has used the 'original' diagnostic system for many years and could probably give you many pointers for improving your current model!

All the best,

Mark

how much do these conzults cost and where would I get one from, are they easy to use. and what will it diagnose, does it give more information than the manual ecu check?

Cheers

Mick

Just out of interest, how much is the ConZult kit and what does it contain? What OS does it run on?

Okay, I wasn't going to put any sales info up on this forum but as I've been asked several times now ... here goes:

ConZult - a PC based (sorry, no Mac compatibility as of yet) diagnostic and monitoring tool for the Nissan 300ZX (Z32)/Fairlady. When the interface is hooked up to the car, using Nissan's Consult plug under the dash, and to the laptop/pc, using the serial connection, it allows you to monitor, in real-time, a variety of sensors - including O2 sensors, CAS, TPS, engine temp, rpm, etc., etc., as well as run full diagnostics on all parts of the car - including transmission, ECU, HICAS, Aircon, etc., etc.

It is basically your very own version of the Nissan Consult equipment that Nissan uses to diagnose the Z32.

The kit includes the interface, connectors & leads to the car and PC, software and user instructions.

It costs £250 per unit, which includes postage to any nominated address in the UK, or £235 if ordered as part of a group-buy (i.e., 5 or more units).

Any enquiries to be addressed to myself at sales@zaat.com.

This ends the sales pitch - hope I haven't offended anybody by posting this here (I recall certain individuals having a problem with me posting a sales pitch previously). It has not been my intention to solicit any sales by posting this thread - I genuinely require users feedback for a promotion I'm working on.

Regards,

Danny

sorry way to pricy for me, if it was in the region of 50-80 pounds im sure you could sell dozens.

cheers

Mick

Danny,

Having used AndyP's (for quite a while), I found it pretty excellent really - only a couple of tiny confusing things if I remember rightly, but other than that spot on..

And on the price side of things (and no I'm not in cahoots with Danny or anything) it's a damned good price, when you consider that a Techtom is about the same price, if not more (and that's just a monitoring tool with nowhere near the features), and a real Consult is in the thousands...

(And if I ever stop spending money on the bits that keep dropping off the car for long enough, I'll buy one..)
