Can someone tell me a bit about coil overs for the 300zx?

Ive only looked at the ones on zcentre, seen plenty on ebay but I don't trust ebay with car parts unless someone recommends them.

I just want my car to be lower. . . . . . . . . and have good handling.

Has anyone got a set for sale?

Thanks.

How much lower are we talking? Slight drop or on the floor?

I'm assuming that since your asking about coilovers then you want more drop then most lowering springs can provide. Just be aware that low doesn't necessarily mean better handling.

When you lower a car you also change the suspension geometry and it's roll center meaning body roll can actually increase as you lower.

Also, on the zx the suspension geometry gets f.upped when you start to lower it, meaning you will need adjustable upper arms along with your coilovers to get camber dialled in afterwards, adjustable tension rods might also be needed.

When choosing coilovers pick some that are meant for street driving like megan racing ez street or powertrix ss(street sport).

To stiff will only be a pita after a while unless you have buttersmooth roads where you live.

Two words that will never, ever be used together in England

Buttersmooth roads

Thanks for the reply

Same thing here. The ez street coilovers I used on my previous 300 was pretty similar in ride quality to stock. Only slightly stiffer going over speedbumps and other sharp bumps.

But they're all adjustable so can be made stiffer or softer depending on your personal preference. :-)
