I am having problems with my conzult. I have a genuine cable but it does not want to comunicate to the ecu for some reason. It connects and then loses connection. I tried conzult, nissan scantech and datascan and they all act same.

I am trying to read original non papped ecu. cable is com so i am using a brand new adapter from maplin on laptop running windows 7.

Am i missing anything? Does it not work on win7 and i should get xp?

I have no problems running delphi diagnostics on the laptop. unfortunately no support for 300zx.

I can see the adapter on device manager as com4. And no problems show up. Leds on the cable stay green. It connects to the car reads the ecu and then drops connection. It is weird. I will try on a more powerful laptop when i get home today. I am suspecting usb port might not be powerful enough. See where i go from there. I dont use adapter for anything else as delphi works on usb port
