Vent screw koyo rad

Where can I get one? Mine was plastic but either a plastic or aluminium one will do. It's the one from the top left of the rad. Even looked on ebay and can't even find any on there.

I could do with one as well. I took my now misplaced blank off to fit a stat that i no longer use, would like to remove this as it'll then look a bit tidier.

What thread is the sender? Surely using a hex nut that size with an appropriate O ring would solve your problem.

Rather have something that looks oem instead of maybe bodged like a bolt. You can get them from z1 and cpz in the states but someone in this country must sell them.

The picture shows the size and thread needed (M10 x 1.25). The bolt on the right is titanium which will not react

with the aluminium (unlike steel). Something like this would do the job:

It's just a bolt as it is isn't it? My japspeed one is an Ali bolt.

Good shout on the metal reaction issue there Andrew. You would probably get away with stainless as well if it's a good quality with a high chromium content, ie 316.

Although not my thread i will thank the replies.

On stating M10 x 1.25 is required, i thought i'd investigate further on mine as i was sure i'd find that bolt somewhere in my garage.

Mine is not M10, i will also state at this point my aftermarket rad is not Koyo, size i require must be M12 and i didn't know i owned one but i have a pitch gauge and 1.25 is spot on .

I have a plug bolt on order .

Would that bolt you linked have enough thread close to the head to bite? I reckon a set screw would be better?

You will need a sealing washer under the bolt head. Here is a pic of the original plastic type broken

in which you can see the seal.

Ignore me, I was looking at bolts for other things at the same time and didn't realise yours was the set screw type:wack:

Paul, wait til I get home mate as I may well have a bolt the right size somewhere as I bought a couple for mine previously.

I came home at lunch to have a look... Then realised I left them in the car lol.

I have a present for you. It's the right size (longer than the standard KOYO one though

A further update here, before i found my original one in the post above, i already had ordered a plug bolt and just to confirm again for my rad it was M12 with 1.25 pitch thread, this said bolt arrived today.

Cannot see a reason why it cannot be magnetic .

This is the one i am going to use, just for the simple reason it's new and the original one was showing it's age with burred edges .
