Hi Guys, i need some help and advice here, i've got a set of wheels which have a circular nut cover as shown in the picture. once this is put on, a 50mm odd dia nut goes down the thread to cover the middle, giving the final appearance as shown, Now my problem is i have been looking for 2 more of these nut covers for the last 2 years with no result. So i am wondering that maybe i need to think outside the box, would it therefor be possible to make a mould using one of them in order to "cast" another 2. They have no structural use so i'm thinking why not. Only trouble is when i last did anything similar it was 35 years ago at college. So can some people give me some advice/options, I know its just 2 little pieces and the cost would probably be more than the rims are worth, so im not looking to outsource it, it needs to be something I can do, i'm no idiot and spent 20 years being a Mech design Enginer so i'm sure i could cope.
One of my thoughts was using one of those new 3D printer for home use, i know i used them at work 10-15 years ago when they first came out, but that was on a industrial scale When the client would authorise thousands just for a hand held steriolyth rather than Drawings.

So any body got some ideas.
