I'm just about to change the rear tyres on my zed. It's the first time in my ownership. I'm wondering if they are the correct size. Reason being is that when i look on tyreleader i only get 3 options :-o I'm used to having loads to pick through. My Wheels are 9j x 17" and currently have 165 40 17 tyres. Does that sound right?

Many thanks Lee

So anyone got any thoughts??

Why would you think they were wrong, Lee? They fit the rim nicely :)

Oh i know they do fit nicely. I'm just not used to having so few options when getting new ones. It could well be that thats the norm for these ane i just have to get used to it.

I run 265 30 19 on my 9" front wheel - probably a bit of bulge, but it's ok. 255 should be good, but that depends on who the tyre manufacturer is - tyre manufacturers NEVER standardise on profile, it's frustrating.

Thanks,

Sounds like the norm to be so limited on choice.

So what's peoples thoughs between.

Falken*Azenis FK453

Toyo*Proxes T1 Sport*

Hankook*Ventus S1 EVO K107

I have on the rears Vredestein Ulrac Sessantas Giugiaro 255/40/17, they are a very attractive tyre and ones you should consider.

They aren't bulgy at all and in fact look like they have a little stretch when really they haven't, this'll help tucking under the arch.

Thanks definitely a lot more choice by dropping to that size. Haven't heard of that make before but they get mentions on the forums at the moment. I think I'll give them a go :-)
