hi

strange question I know but is Noz still trading and mapping - I have tried emails, texts, phone and voicemail and private messages on here but never get a response - this is over a 3-4 weeks period - if not can anyone recommend someone else fro the re-mapping - I seem to get conflicting information regarding mapping expectations from some companies so bit confused to say the least now

kind regards

I saw him at the weekend when I had some bits off him.

I think he's a bit run ragged at the moment with loads on so may just be he's up to his eyeballs.

Very helpful and decent guy so I would say keep trying mate.

Hi sayers

I have gregs number and contacted him by email - very helpful but part of my confusion I think - I have read very informative posts by Noz indicating that with moderate upgrades exhaust- air filter- etc and with a good custom re-map (depending on the state of the engine) that 400bhp plus is not unheard of - greg had insisted that the standard injectors would max out and would not map past 360/370 bhp and to do this I would still need a different fuel pump - bypass a fuel controller - any more than this would require new injectors so I suppose which one is correct. I am not obsessing with bhp but have a dyno at 340 off an old ecu upgrade that was done at zedworld many moons ago - car in with jammer for new brakes and suspension and ebc so thought I would just sneak a bit more if any available - plan is still to have jammer rebuild engine and everything early next year so might just wait until then

i have 440bhp (flywheel) and thats on stock injectors.

Noel mapped mine, Deffo worth waiting to see him. He knows what he is talking about.

I don't know Greg, but disagree with the comments 're the fuel pump and controller. The 360/370 comment was from around 10yrs ago. Noel has proven you can get more out of the injectors, would still fit larger ones if you can though

I would wait for your new setup rather than pay to get it mapped twice.

Ps stock fuel pump is good for big power, however lots are starting to fail due to age, so a new pump is never a bad idea

Hi,

I've been incredibly busy the last few weeks, and will be incredibly busy the next two weeks as well. If you are in a rush to get it mapped, I won't be able to cater for you I'm afraid. If you can be at Avon Tuning in Bristol when I am in that part of the country, then something may be possible.

There will be posts of mine from around 3 years ago showing log files of my car running 1.4 bar with standard injectors and around 400bhp (my engine was never one for making power easily compared to most). I ran 456bhp & 482lb·ft on standard injectors & fuel pump for some time with just an increase of the base fuel pressure and mapping to suit.

Hi Jaffa and all many thanks for the response. Many thanks Noz for clarifying that - there is certainly no rush to have it done and I can happily wait till things calm down for you - it would be cool if you do move around and get to Bristol (when you are less hectic) I would be more than happy to bring it to you wherever. many thanks to all and will be in touch

Mine is over 500 at the wheels mate and that was on the standard fuel pump for ages... Albeit the fpcu is bypassed (not too sure what difference that has made though. Andway, I think it gave up the ghost yesterday.

I think Jaffa has given sound advice above as per the norm... Yes the injectors are ok over 370bhp as proven by Noel, but you may want to consider new, better ones anyway.

I think if they are starting to fail then a new pump is a must - it all sounds cool with others hitting over 400 something to look forward to - many thanks once again
