Every now and then on my auto you put it in park and go to remove the key, no matter how much jiggling and poking of the button it won't turn it's last little bit and release the key. Leave the car for a short while and it does it straight away. Any ideas?! It's almost as if something electronic is holding it off but surely it's all mechanical in that area with a park interlock cable? Thanks for any input. :)

Try spraying some WD40 into the barrel Baz and if that does not work there is a cable that might need adjusted.

hmmm, no cable from my selector up to the ignition barrel, mine had a small solenoid on it

Thanks Gaz I think I need to take the shroud off and have a look, i did think at first that it was electrical. The cars for sale and it's just a niggle I need to sort out.
