Hey all, took my car out for a blast a couple of days ago, all fine and dandy till I parked her up at the pub for 40 mins. When leaving I started her up and she she sounded like she was only firing on five cylinders?..... She sounded like a Scooby! This continued and didn't clear for about 5 miles then all of a sudden it did clear she was running as normal again.

Any thoughts on what may have caused this?

Cheers

James

Was it doing it that before you arrived? May have been early symptoms of ptu failure, heat soak while parked etc. It really could be anything fuel or ignition related, down to a loose connection. Probably worth checking your connections and contacts, ohming the injectors and keeping an eye in things.

Hi Stephen, have checked everything and pretty sure it's heat soak on the ptu as it was an extremely hot day and it's a series 1 ptu in its original location. Going to get a series 2 ptu and relocate behind the headlight

Thanks for the suggestions

James
