Before computer games we made our own racing machines :hammer: A few pieces of wood a set of pram wheels a hand full of staples and a big bolt. Plus I remember burning the hole in the wood with a red hot poker so the bolt would drop threw it:devil2: This photo brought it all back and look at the fear in the faces of the drivers lol no brakes and steer with your feet if you had a rope you were lucky. I don't really remember this, but I do remember using using nothing but a polythene bag (instead of a sledge) when it snowed... scary and bruising stuff, but sooooo much fun!! :lol:

We called them bogies lol

 

Yup, bogies were our name of choice as well !

 

Had a few sore ones coz of them ! Magic times !! Would probably be banned now due to H&S ?

You were well tooled up with a brace and bit Alan :biggrin: but it was more fun with a hot poker lol

Mine was made from a bit of scaffold planking, 4 pram wheels, a piece of rope and a ride on lawn-mower seat. We lived on the side of the south downs, so it was terrifying down the chalk path ways. Ive still got the scars...
