:angry: So, as we all know, the perspex strip on the boot is very fragile, so much so that I said i'd speak to my local Nissan Dealer about ordering one in for me, I figured if it was €20-€30 more than from the UK it would be worth getting it to avoid getting a box of shards. They quoted me €650!!! but they said that they'd give me a 12% discount if I bought all my parts for the Z from them:cursing: Yeah!! Like that's gonna happen!!

I was going to go the route of Perspex strip with a 99 spec rear spoiler as the Twinz stuff is so hard to get hold of at a reasonable shipping price, F*CK THAT! It would actually work out nearly cheaper to fly down to Peru and pick up a rear spoiler myself!!

I just emailed Nissan about an oil filter as ZCenter is currently closed. Wonder how ridiculous that'll be?

I think I can top that though. €60 for a plastic engine oil dipstick from Renault, for a mk1 Megane.

Luke is closed till 14/07/15 Jay, you should try Mike Feeney at MJP, he's a trader on here and is very reasonable for parts, look in the Traders section and give him a shout.

Nissan dealer actually came back with €10 available immediately! I'm sure I'll try MJP when I need anything significant though, cheers :)

I got one from z centre & it was very well packaged so might be worth the risk getting it delivered.

I'm going to ring my local dealer and see if they match it.

I think you may want to find a new dealer in any case!

I was with my son last week as he was having a conversation with Luke. I believe Luke said the boot plastic strip was very fragile and cost £60 plus vat . He also said that many were damaged whilst being fitted so take care!

great, i rang EP Mooney, last week to enquire about steering arm rubber rear, got talking to a great guy, I will get his name from the email, he emailed me the whole diagram of the rear steering parts with the part number attached, so I could so it to my mechanic to make sure it was the correct bit. Also he was saying they hold nothing for 300zx in stock anymore, except maybe filteers.

Now the Nissan main european parts warehouse is in Amsterdam, I work for a Dutch company, we have trucks coming in 5 nights a week, so basically free transport, I am going to explore this further.

Hmm I wonder were they quoting you for the rear lights originally or something

I asked them if they were quoting me for the whole boot lid :scared::lol:

As for damage when removing/fitting. The strips are attached using little blue square push in clips and a nut and bolt set up on either end. Remove your tailgate trim and use long nose pliers on the blue clips and breakage should'nt be an issue. Id assume most folks just tug at them and wonder why they've snapped.

Thanks for the "Heads Up" Santa. Also, if you could drop me in some JWT 530BB turbos at Christmas, I'll be a very good boy:laugh:
