Hi Folks

As some of you have worked out I snaffled the 2 Twin Turbos that were for sale in St Albans

To be honest I am really only interested in the parts car which means the UK car is up for grabs.

The Car is a turnkey project it does need work to bring it back to what it should be.

It is MOTed until the end of May 2016.

Mileage is showing 133K backed up by multiple MOTs. However in the paperwork I also have a receipt for a replacement engine with 44K on it.

Unfortunately it has no engine number on the receipt so I can't say for certain if the lump has been swapped.

The car runs very well the gearbox is good and power delivery is very smooth.

I've only had it a few days, but I have sorted out the immobiliser issue so it starts every time.

Cleared the stale fuel through so much smoother now.

Fixed the tailgate rams, so you now don't have to hold it open with your head.

The alternator belt was knackered and let go when I drove it round the block so I changed that over yesterday.

With a few bits and pieces and fuel I am in it for about £2150.

I will continue pottering on it, its got some trim rattles that are bugging me.

All I am looking for is a good drink out of it and some driveway space.

The car is pretty standard apart from the air filter and stainless exhaust.

I will be as honest as I can over it so if you have any questions or you want me look at something specific please let me know.

If I had another garage space this would definitely be the project.

HPI clear, LWB manual and UK car it will be in my opinion the one to have.

Also I now what you guys mean about the blue glass in the UK cars much nicer than the bronze.

Not bad at all the car has been locked I a garage for 8 years.

There is a little surface rust near the edge of the screen and the edge of the targas.

A couple of patches on the bonnet where the paint has bubbled.

Off side rear arch has half dozen 20p piece size bits of bubbling and one larger piece of bubbling about 3 inches by and inch but the paint hasn't broken.

various minor scratches

Underneath the front sills have got some rust and some jacking damage, rear sills have some surface rust on them. I can't poke my finger through them that's for sure.

I figure the Skirts were put on to tidy it up.

It passed the MOT less than a month ago so nothing structural

It is a good solid project and not a million miles away from being a nice car.

Tomomontana came and had a good look over it last night and took me for a mildly scary test drive. He reckons its about 350 to 360 BHP as it sits.

He does have first dibs on it and will let me know over the next few days, but if you want an independent view on it then he will be the man.

He also pointed out that it has been lowered and I forgot to mention it has up rated front brakes as well.

hope that helps

Mildly scary!?! I bet you finger prints are still in the doors grab handle

It's definitely not a mint car but for the sake of throwing some cash and man hours at it, it looks to be well worth saving!, especially as it is a UK car.

That reminds me actually, could you put a PIC up of the fat hose we saw and see if anyone else can confirm what we thought it was.
