I still keep an eye on cars at auction. Thought I will share pictures of some that I like if it interests anyone else. Can't see sale prices, unfortunately.

Me and gazwoz won this this morning  it's not perfect, will need a couple of little bits of paint looking at, but it's nothing big and now I've got a 50k miles zed on it's way, it's gonna be a long wait!!

Nice what's your plans for it ?

Nothing major, swap the manual gearbox, one piece prop, brakes, wheels and exhaust over from my current zed. Got a greddy boost controller ready to go in so will get it mapped but not after big power. Cambelt if it needs it if course. Then hopefully some 99 spec goodies and get rid of the disgusting spoiler for an 89 spec.

I just wanted a nice clean (white) car!

I think it looks nice with that spoiler, certainly not something I would rush into changing. Also, would you replace the prop for a 1 piece if the stock one wasn't causing issues, if so why?

Agreed, the "horseshoe" is a grower. It can look great.

Urgh I think they're horrible, but it's probably one of those things you get used to then start to like. I didn't like despoilered zeds when I got my current one, but got used to it and I don't mind it now. It's not something I'll rush in to, plenty of other bits to do first that will take quite a while/bit of money, but that's the current plan anyway.

Yea I'd replace the prop, if I'm under there anyway doing the gearbox (I don't actually know if auto and manual props are the same) then why not, what's the downside? I only got this prop 3 or 4 months ago, even if the new one seems alright at the moment, assuming it's the original prop surely the rubber will start to go sooner or later so why pass up the one piece? Everyone says they really like them, I found it hard to judge actually as my stock prop was so bad it wasn't really a fair comparison

Auto and manual, NA and TT and SWB and LWB are all different.

Well I'll have to change it then! Cheers

Looks a nice clean Z.

Must be like buying a house & changing the decor!

Why buy an auto if u want a manual?

Like changing the colour of a car? Probably just me!

Bloody typical, you wait for a white zed for ages and then two more come along at once! That first one is stunning

Seems perfectly normal to me to redecorate when you move house!

I'm no expert, but if it was a manual I reckon it would have gone for at least 2k more, so by the time you pay duty and vat on that it's 2.6k more. Outside my budget, manuals are expensive! My current zed is a conversion and I'm perfectly happy with it, it's more cost effective this way. It will take value off my current zed so it will cost me something, but nowhere near that much!

I had the same experience! That SWB will probably cost a lot though.

God I bet, I'd love to know how much it goes for!

Can those gauges pass without comment !! At least drill dirty big 10mm holes to take the cabling out of view :w00t:, perhaps though they've used double sided stickies on all 3 and didn't want any screw holes at all, in that case a kind of forgiveness in a perverse way.
