Looks like the rear view mirror is in its usual place going by the first pic. Maybe that's his secondary, gauge viewing mirror? Just seems a very strange place to put gauges IMO.

 

It's a fairly common thing there.

There's a set for sale on Yahoo! but I'd sooner wait for a pair of Recaros. Anyway, my car isn't wired up for the seat controls.

This must be the early "version R" that doesn't appear to offer anything other than confetti Recaros. No idea if it got the handling or rigidity improvements.
