Hello,

I'm considering getting a 2 seater Z32 manual and was wondering what increase in performance a grand (just the one to start please) could get me? I guess exhaust and mapabble chip? Not looking to do anything that would need changing if I was to go further with the tuning (so no gentle cams, then harsher cams later etc).

Also can anyone recommend some decent bodykits please, particularly this one (whatever it is), what is it called please? Hard to tell but I don't think it's the WW one.

Cheers

Russ

Russ T that could be the worst question possible to ask this lot on here.

Look at the other threads and look at the death threats and violence there.http://217.158.136.46/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14325

They are a decent bunch on here, but that is the only question you should not ask if you want to prevent world war 3.

Welcome to the Mad House

Hugs and kisses

Russ_T, I own a swb TT (waiting front end repair) and live in Bournemouth, I see you are near, if you want to have a look. tour and spin (currently not boosting tho, but shouldn't be long till fixed) send us a PM.

Check out my rides for pics, http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/martinfa

Cheers

Martin

An old chestnut, and you can use the Search facility to find plenty of views on this.

In theory the difference could be the same as with any other car, however the Autos have smaller Turbos as standard to offset any acceleration impact. So I suspect any differences are very marginal, unless you wish to exploit the car beyond where most would go.

IMHO, just get a good one, which has a spec to your own preference.

(To complete the picture, there is a convertible NA as well).

Cheers, Geoff

I saw a convertible and I thought it was a custom thing some guy had done! I won't be after one tho.

Hmmm well really I always wanted an auto just for the sake of the amount of time I spend in car parks, but my manual is kinda fun although it can be a pain. Argh I dunno!

I have no idea, guess I'll have to wait for this show down of manual vs auto. :D There seems to be people on both sides of the fence with awesome performance so I guess it doesn't matter.

Martin - I cannot PM you as I haven't yet signed up. If you don't mind could you e-mail me Russ at RussTaylor.co.uk. Sorry for messing the e-mail address about but I hate web trawlers finding my address and sending me spam. BTW I live in Winton :D

Bloody Hell Russ you live in Winton, that is where the car is at the moment, parked up looking f***ing unhealthy. I will email you the exact details.

Winton is a good place as you have Simon at Park Garage who is pretty handy on the zed.

Mine should be ready soon, just waiting for this guy's insurance company to sort out my claim and she will be back to her normal glory. I have actually fitted the 99 oem front since my rides pics which you can see here.

LOL

Small world isn't it :P

Well if you see a red 306, 17s, smoothed, pretty low then it's mine, feel free to shout me some abuse and I'll know who you are :D

Cheers

Hey Russ, surely with that car you should be saying "DON'T shout me some abuse and I'll know who you are" ?!?

:D :D :D

Heh ok well actually I love my 306 to bits, it's very nice, looks good, goes ok and handles better than any ZX ever will so :p

:D:D:D

I'm sure you're not wrong there ! But it won't stop you loving your Z more !

Oh, and by the way, the traditional response to a post like mine is "F### off you t#ss#r, I'm gonna kill you, your bitch is ugly, etc, etc, etc.'. You'll get the hang of it !

Russ -

I think I just replied to you on the talkaudio forums, suggesting this site! Looks like you got in ahead of me!

My advice: Definitely get Jeff TT at ZedWorld to take a look over your car.

Cheers,

Russ.

Hmm dunno mate, my e-mail works fine as I just received an e-mail saying you'd replied to me? heh

More worrying tho is that from your graduation of 2000 Suzy Cutts (useless) is now a demonstrator on the course.

Anyway I just got offered a 260z for £800 so :D
