I'm wanting your ideas really on what might improve the looks of my car (externally).

Generally, I think I looks pretty nice but as with everything, there's always more than can be done so I'm interested in what opinions people have.

Please don't be shy, I certainly don't take offence if others are keen and all that.

Here's a couple of pictures of the car:

Looking great Lee, can you take out the orange bulbs / covers :confused1:and replace with silver bulbs for the indicators. I think Si (FunkySi) has a how to mod link??

Yeah, I just got them today so I might do that, I've put the silver tech bulbs in already. Not sure whether I should take the Orange bits out or not.

On a side note, the way they work is a little strange. So, when indicating, the outer light illuminates, but that's the only time they do. Might just be when's the headlights are on. Is that what's meant to happen

I think that's what they're meant to do as a kind of front side marker when indicating. I'm sure one of the resident experts will either confirm or deny this in a bit:biggrin: Cue FunkySi, Gary etc.

I would have known that for sure 10 years ago, that's what happens when you leave your car off the road for 6 years!!

Lee have a look at phutumschs Fairlady z rear badges for sale thread, both phutumschs and rolandas cars are pictured and they look really well balanced.

Yes, they're curb markers and come on when you indicate. And yes, that 24 VALVE sticker has to come off, that's verging on worse than the white lettering on the tyres!

It cetainly is..........Chavtastic.

Take it off FFS its truly awful.

And yes, that 24 VALVE sticker has to come off

You're being too much of a purist for The Bird, mate! I told him it should come off and I was told, in no uncertain terms, that it's staying.... :sneaky2:

Well I agreed with Joel but not from a "purist" point of view .

Glittery shiny stick on badges on any car just look tacky .

Lees car is a VERY smart example and doesnt need such 20th century add ons

Less is more in my world.

Just to revive this threa. I pretty much put all the stuff in place apart from the 24 valve sticker which is still there.

Anyway, the last point i haven't done is the front bumper. I'm really torn as to whether to get the stillen type 3 lip which will cost around £230 - £240 or go with the 99 spec that's in the garage, and possibly put a lip on that.

What's everyone's thoughts?
