I'm wanting your ideas really on what might improve the looks of my car (externally).

 

Generally, I think I looks pretty nice but as with everything, there's always more than can be done so I'm interested in what opinions people have.

 

Please don't be shy, I certainly don't take offence if others are keen and all that.

Anyway, I had a look through a bag or these kind of lights, had alsorts, jap, UK blanks, even these which I believe are 99 spec. So i very spoke to Natalie and I'm getting them from her

I'm not sure, they may be the ones for my 99 spec - or, they may be a second set, haven't a clue tbh.

Been scrubbing the tyres but I can't get all the paint off the front, done the best I can though, not sure whether there's anything that can help take the paint off... Any ideas welcome but what do you lot think?

little bit of sand paper works well

That's such an improvement on the rear mate, get the front cleared off and then tell me I was wrong, it looks soooo much better / cleaner

The problem with the fronts are that the writing it indented rather than sticking up, so loads hard to clean.

Little bit of White Spirits maybe ?? Don't know if that would affect the rubber in the tire ??

Some sort of solvent Lee in a tub with a paint brush, petrol would be my choice, rinse off well and then some tyre wall black :cool:.

Just drive into a kerb a few times, should all come off...lol

I guess the question is, will paint stripper or turps etc ruin the tyres in any way?

I reckon it'll be fine as long as you give it a good scrub with hot soapy water straight after, do one wheel at a time to minimise exposure time

So, been out for N hour in the rain, determined to do it.

 

The main problem is that the lettering is lined (stamped inwards too) so I've had to pretty much pick each line individually... Pain in the butt or what.

 

Anyway, what do yas think

tbh, I was using a much harder/stonger one. I should ghost the paint in lol

Well, I have another update for you all... Please let me know what you think.

 

The crystal clear front indicators have now been changed for the OEM lined ones.

 

Although this first couple of photos shows the 'before' lights, I'm really just putting it up because I think the car looked awesome
