Hi guys.

I just spend 10,000 pounds for a Harley Davidson. Its a second hand one and there are a lot of goodies.

Its a beaty with all the meaning of the word. And its parked right next to my Z.

What a feeling when you ride the Eagle. You feel that you own the world.

What a beatiful couple.

So whats next. :) :)

I will take some pics and post them.

I've never been on a motorbike - but if I was gonna get one, I'd want a Harley..................ENJOY !! ;)

Hope you've got LOTS of concho's and tassles on it! LOL!! Also, now you have to buy a pair of leather chaps with lace-ups to go with it! Harley D underpants, vests, mugs, loo roll holders etc. etc.

Not my particular cup of Darjeeling as you may have gathered, but I hope you enjoy it, and stay safe.

Live fast die young, live slow die bored!

I am sure you will enjoy it, although I think you will have to wait until the spring to really start enjoying it.

You may want a good read while you are waiting for Spring, and I can recommend Good Vibrations by Tom Cunliffe ( http://www.tomcunliffe.com/vibes.htm ).

I have a T-bird ( http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/geoff/bike1.jpg ) which also is a '95 manufacturer (but perhaps mine goes round bends a bit better?). As somebody quipped before - Triumphs have always leaked oil, and perhaps this one is no better judging by the picture?

I went to the NEC, and there were a number of Harleys of all ages to view. It is the 100 year anniversary. (Have you heard the Kathy Mattea song [Harley])?

Look forward to seeing the pictures. Enjoy the cleaning every weekend!!! :)

Geoff

Great bike but it seems a very unlikely stable mate for a 300zx. I would have thought a Kawazaki (spelling hints please) would be a better match. Have you pi$$ed on your jeans yet? A biker mate told me that if you soak denim in oil it makes it water proof!!

Phil.

Heard "Panama" by Van Halen ? ;)

...you'll also have to fit the stereo from an Electra Glide to it, so you can cruise down the road blasting out Steppenwolfs rendition of Barnaby Wild (who he?):D

Actually you can gets lots of aftermarket bits to make Harley's really fast (some of the drag ones do 1/4 in under 6.0!) only problem is that once you have a fast Harley, there is not one bit left that is made by HD (it's all S&S type stuff) Still won't make it go round corners though!

Is your one the one with the 'springer' front end? Awful from an engineering point of view, but I LOVE the look of those forks!

I am not sure if it has a springer front end. I have to learn a bit better about the different models.

But this one it looks like a queen. I bought next day I saw it. It has lots of chrome staff and needs a lot of attention.

But it looks like new. Very well maintained and its very fast (Well, not like my Z of course :) :) :) )))

I'll try that :)

NitroPow, where abouts in London are you based? A mate of mine is a Harley mechanic, really knows his stuff, and doesn't charge rip-off rates. He is the sort of guy that fixes problems once the dealer has fcuked it up! Warr's were after him, but he's a bit of a 'free spirit' and likes to keep his own working hours, so turned them down. Does a lot of work for the 'Angels' so he NEVER screws up. I'll put you in touch if you're interested.

Cheers

Hehe, my mate's dad drags his Harley - he's got a 100 shot of NOS on it :D:D

Hardly Ableson? Bwaahahaha..

Joking - they're actually pretty cool although i'm more of a fan of the crotch rocket at the mo! We'll see what happens when my GSXR scares the crap out of me!

Was at the bike show at the NEC too, you've gotta love those V'Rods!! They look like something out of the future - and at last! A Harley that's f'in quick as stock!!! A lot of money for a bike though - i'd have a Ducati 999 and spend the change on insurance! :D

Got a lot of time for the new Buell's though too - B I G twin in a sports frame and really unique looking. Get the reliabilty sorted and I could be a Buell customer of the future....

Have fun on the bike. Winter's sh1te for riding though isn't it?

If I recall, NitroPow is actually in Cyprus? Or was it Greece (don't lynch me for getting the two confused! :)).. So winter is probably fine for riding a bike ;)
