Does anything on the car need changing if I put a Cone style air filter instead of the stock ones?

Some told me that you should change the timing slightly! Is this true.

Changed my filters a few days ago and the old ones where covered in crap, the person I bought it of a few months ago hadn't changed them for a very long time. The car ran so much better when clean ones where put.

Does a cone filter make it even better?

Cheers

Stuart.

Never heard that before..

The intake has nothing to do with the timing.

Changing the timing from stock (15degrees) can have a performance increase, but it also increases the risk on detonation.

So this is NOT recommended..

A conefilter will sure make difference from the stock airbox...

You'll probably have to remove the headlamp-washer reservoir though..otherwise the cone won't fit.

Do a search on *intake*...it has been discussed many times...(also which filters are available and recommended)
