Clutch !

My clutch is on the way out, slips at about 4 1/2 thousand revs. Can anyone advise me on a replacment one. Will a stock one be suitable or do I need a better one (RPS etc). I'm running around 400 bhp.

Plus, where on earth can I get one fitted in Kent ??? I refuse to take it to another Nissan dealer after the last visit.

Regards

RPS should be good (not the racing claw type), also I had a Cyclone 3.5 which was excellent for that sort of power. My other choice could be ACT. Try http://www.turboimports.com.

(The centreforce duel-friction is crap)

iv got a stage 2 RPS darren, its a nice unit cost about £350 from smiffy.

stock is deffo no good for your mods matey so dont be tempted to skimp & put a standard one in

Sound like I have the same as you then.

Its good. Sticks well and doesnt increase the weight of the clutch pedal.

Hi Darren, I can't advise on which clutch to go for 'cause I drive an Auto :D

But, there is a workshop in Ashford: See here I think Waz and Craig checked it out but you better check with them as I have not had any dealings with them

I've just got an ACT one delivered from Grasshopper which I told is good for about 550ft.ibs. Had originally ordered an AP one, but it uses the standard pressure plate and can only take about 420ft.ibs, which I would guess you'll have passed.

Probably not going to fit it until christmas, but I'm told it's still driveable despite being a metallic paddle.

Guess I'll get the RPS and then find somewhere to fit it. Thanks for all the advice.

I'll go and check that place in Ashford out..
