I Guys, had a quick search but maybe someone can point me in the right direction for rear sill repair panels if there is any such thing?

My Z is still solid but sills where going a bit scabby, cut out the rot (still needs a bit more work) and was wondering what would normally be done??

Thanks

Steve

Your going to have replace more than that I'm afraid if you wish to do a proper job. You can see from the photo rot has started on the inner sill too. Sadly I think your in for a bigger job than it may at first appear. You could patch it for a while till funds allow a proper repair but it would be a temporary repair ie a bodge. I've got a similar situation myself.

Hi Stephen... yes I know the near side is going to need a lot more cutting out, just went that far to expose/assess the damage. The near side aint too bad, just surface rust on the inner sill. TBH it hasn't got to look too pretty as the Z is stripped out and I use it for doing sprint. As its an NA it doesn't hold the value to warrant a big spend. I do want to prolong the life of the car cos even though its a LWB Auto its bags of fun going around Curborough Sprint Course.

Thanks for the reply Buddy :)

Ah that's ok, just didn't want you do go repairing the outside then wonder why 12-18 months later it's falling apart again,

Have a look at my repair thread.... I'll get guys number for you
