was a nice day today so decided to get the cover of the car and make a start on getting her back. the welding is still a few weeks away yet but the car was really dirty since it sat in a bodyshop for over 2 years not getting looked at.

 

 

Even had a wee helper

Starting to look a bit better now

 

A few things on my to do list are

Get my seat repaired

Refit my momo steering wheel

Repair/replace the trims that run up the windows and over the targas

Finish installing the gauges on the pillar

Finish installing the ipad

Repair the broken catch on the glove box

Repair the boot release leaver

Be more but can make a start on that while I wait on the bodywork

Retrim both so they look how they're supposed to. So new black woven fabric all round, keep the Confetti centres as they are (no trimming needed there) and get some new bolster foam! :thumbup1:

I have the same recaros in the same condition - how much are we talking to get them repaired back to decent condition ballpark wise?

Actually its only the drivers side only - the passenger side is in A1 condition.

Two choices: either have the main body of the seats retrimmed in the genuine Recaro Avus fabric (roughly £70 per metre) or use something like this (which is equally hardwearing and somewhat cheaper to buy, thus bringing your costs down a little)

The SR seats (which is what yours are) came with a variety of different centre sections. The Le Mans trim (yours) is far and away the most popular nowadays because the fabric is no longer available, even from Recaro themselves.

 

If you were having them retrimmed completely, you could have the centres in whatever you wanted of course :)

making me wanna keep them a little now haha
