Over the winter my Z has had its engine and gearbox out, its all back together and so far so good. Except the gearstick seems to be leaning forward more than before. In neutral instead of straight upright (as I seem to remember) it leans slightly forward, when its in fourth it leans only slightly back and when in third it leans quite far forward. Am I missing something??

The shifter might have been put in backwards as iirc it is slightly slanted

Yeah, shifter is in the wrong way round.

Yes it can, bit fiddly but not too much of a job. Take the trims back out and the metal plate and you'll see the bolt going through the bottom of the shifter. Undo the nut, take the bolt out and spin it round :yes:
