Hi can anyone help I was sat at traffic lights yesterday when all of a sudden the rear screen shattered I don't know why as I was at stand still when it broke so now I need a rear screen and some fitting advice

Thats a strange one Richard are you sure nothing hit it? Was there high buildings beside you?

Think mogsy had a rear screen there is a thread on here probably a week or two ago.

No building around and only sound i heard was a crack as screen broke its very strange all I can think is it had a small crack that caused complete failure does anyone know if the screen is held in with rubber seal or bonded

Its bonded in with the usual glass bonder, but there is four clips at the top which will need cut.

 

Easier job to remove since your glass is already smashed.

 

I've sold my rear screen. We had a similar problem when we had a motor home in New Zealand. We think the glass slipped as there was no one around & it couldn't have been a stone.
