I'm attempting to fit a set of aerocatches to my bonnet.

I've put the pins through the holes in the slam panel, where the original rubber bump stops used to be.

With the nut on the pin, above the slam panel, I'm a bit apprehensive of if there's gonna be enough space for the bonnet to shut properly. I don't want to go cutting the bonnet for the body of the catch, to realise that the bonnet now sits up.

 

Have any of you guys had any experience with fitting these?

They are a pain to fit, here's where mine were fitted, ( not fitted anymore, I'd advise leaving the bump stops on and the oe catch if you've a fibreglass or carbon bonnet as mine flexed a fair bit.

 

 

Where did you attach the pins to?

I drilled new hole a few inches in from the bump stops,

Don't have the bonnet fitted anymore, but can take some pictures of the holes and the underside of the bonnet tomorrow afternoon if I get time.
