How about a poll to find out who has Dump/BOV's and whether they are pleased with them,and who has stock Recirc valves and doesnt get the 'Goosehonk'noise?

Still dont know what to do.

Both new recircs and BOV's are similarly priced so nothing to sway me either way there.

If I fit new recircs then whats to stop the goosehonk noise comming back in the near future.The reason I say this is because I replaced my original offending recircs with a set of secondhand ones and after a very short while the goosehonk returned!

Someone mentioned that BOV's affected the performance slightly,that I do not want!

Uprated Recircs will not "honk" but BOV's will affect performance but whether you would notice it or not I don't know.

Why should BOVs affect performance??? All that will happen is you will get a very brief rich mixture when you come back on the gas - you certainly won't notice this, BUT on the other hand, you are not recirculting air that has already been warmed by the turbocharger, only to be warmed again when it gets recirculated. SO the overall effect is no difference IMO....

I would have gone for recircs I think, but the Apexi Bov's where much cheeper. So far I've not had chance to decide if the noise bothers me.
