Long time no see from a former member.

 

Mods - I have made a BACS payment today to renew my membership, so I hope this does not fall foul of any club regulations.

 

I AM SELLING MY ZED - I will advertise on here as soon as my membership is updated.

 

For now, my car can be found in the 'Other models' section under 'Nissan' on Pistonheads (Dont ask me why it's in that section - I'm trying to get it moved).

 

Please spread the word as I am really wanting a quick sale.

I emailed him when I got back from mapping this morning at 5.30am. Phoned him at 6.45am, but got no answer :D

 

Just spoken to him, he's sold it to a mate in Lincoln. I asked him to "just give me a figure", and he wouldn't, so fair play to him.

God, calm down!! The car was up for sale publicly, yet you're coming across as if you expected everyone on this forum NOT to be interested just because YOU want a manual TT.

 

That's just not how it works, I'm afraid.

 

It's bad news for you that this car was sold before you could physically put the cash in the seller's hands, but going on the way you are to other people who have expressed an interest in the same car is just ridiculous...

The point is we'd already agreed I was picking it up at 1pm!

Still no reason for you to be kicking off and swearing at Noel, ESPECIALLY seeing as I can't find anywhere on here that you'd said you'd agreed the sale BEFORE Noel tried contacting the seller...!!

And yes of course other people may have been interested, but I got in there first, and we'd agreed straight away that I was having it.

I wasn't pipped, it was already ****ing agreed! I was stepping out of the ****ing door to collect it when I got the message!

Would have been me, as I was leaving my bloody door right now. He'd told me his address, we'd agreed a time for me to get there. All sorted. And ten minutes ago he tells me he's bloody sold it. Absolutely fuming.

Yep. Posted HOURS after Noel says he first tried contacting the seller! So he would've been blissfully unaware that you'd agreed the sale, wouldn't he...?

 

Whether he then rang him again later is irrelevant as, like you've told us all, the car was already sold. The seller had refused to allow you to make a better offer so it's highly unlikely that Noel would've fared any better, isn't it?

 

So, in my opinion, he's done precisely nothing wrong and, again in my opinion, doesn't deserve your ranting at him!

I offered to transfer the money & pick the car up at 5.30am this morning. Why didn't you just pay him last night? Make the trip down immediately and buy it? Your attitude towards me is strange considering you asked me in person to keep you in mind if I get any more Zeds in for sale.

Both you and Mondo are friends with me on Facebook, and will have seen me going on about this bloody car all night long. It's not as if you didn't know, and it's a bit of a kick in the teeth that you'd still jump in asking him to name his price.

When I spoke to him at 7pm last night he never asked for the money, wanted cash on collection and not once implied he wanted it sooner. He agreed that I was picking it up at 1pm. Five minutes from now. :(

Yes, you had already lost out on the sale due to not actually buying the car. I asked the seller to name a price rather than sell to his friend. How does this involve you in any way, shape or form?
