I have been busy since the beginning of the year on a new non zed car project so I thought I would post up a couple of pics.

Then I can sit back and wait for the abuse/jokes to appear as Im guessing a Corsa is not far up most peoples car list!!!:whistling:

 

Anyway it belongs to my younger daughters partner Danny and Im building a track day car.:thumbup1:

He bought the former rally car as a rolling shell many moons ago . Its a big task so far Im about 150hours into it.

Project McDonald's car park?

Not my sort of thing but I can appricate it for what it is. It's a far more sensible track toy than what most of us would choose which makes more useable, more use, more fun...also I'm guessing there are more events that it would be eligible for in comparison to say sonething like a zed?

Its small and fairly simple so work so far has been straightforward..

 

What's the power house going to be?

We have a fully built forged 2.0L "Redtop" vauxhall engine sat under my bench waiting to go in.

We are using a pair of 48 Dellorto sidedraft cabs....so kind of "old school"

The plan is to get the guy who set up my rally 3.0l 240Z engine to get it all jetted and run in on his engine dyno before we install it
