Well, having had the body shop order a door and wing from Japan on 23/12 the finally got the wing delivered last Wednesday. When they asked where's the door they said 'oh we couldn't get one . They're not made any more'

 

The body shop went ape saying you effing well could have told us. But to no avail.

 

So, new doors no longer available ex Japan !

 

Got on to Mr F and he's got a good clean one I'm picking up tomorrow. Then up to Coleshill on Wednesday to drop it off and back up home and then Take the zed back down to get it fixed finally !

 

Whoopee my zeds going to be back on the road all nice and shiny and new !

That's good news Tony - especially after the incident with Jan's Zed the other day - and thanks for the heads up about new doors....

Yep looking forward Hope all the bruises have gone by the time I get it back I've some deep bruising coming out from the seat belt and that's taken over a week to show !

That seems odd, doesn't take nissan that long to inform us something is no longer available... Wonder if the order was messed up...

 

 

Either way, be good to have another green zed on the road, was lonely at Coventry last year with the only factory green zed.

Not fussed about doors not being available anymore. Z32 doors are about the very last things to rust...in fact I can't recall actually seeing a rusty Z32 door....just rear arches, sills, tailgate, lower front support, floor etc.

 

Not sure why you wanted new ones?

Only the passenger door ! Because the door was punctured in the collision by the motorcycle.
