Looks good, I used to have a Snooper, it was great at picking up B&Q door radars...LOL!

In fairness though, there's a stretch on the A55(in de Wales...aaiiii!!! Copyright Ali-G!) and I used to turn the car around at a rounda-bout about a mile and a half further on. The radar detector used to go crazy, but I had it nicked out of a Polo which was parked outside my local pub. Uncanny thing was all the time I had it I was driving round in shitty carZ like a Sierra Diesel and a Polo as afore mentioned.

Bummer, yes they do work though, IMHO!

Andy,

i found someone in the UK who could supply the Phantom RCD, which are reputedly the best in the stealth field.... wink.gif

but, this is what he said to me....

he had supplied a few, and was happy to sell one to me, but i could not have a demo, and could not be introduced to a previous customer for an evaluation, due to their extreme legally challenged position.. wink.gif

this seemed a bit of a risk for a 450 quid bit of kit...

Jammers do work but I don't think the police are stupid enough to allow you to drive past whilst their gun gives a wacky readout. I'm fairly sure they would pull you over anyway.

Radar detectors have recently become legal but I now of a couple of people who have had them confiscated on the basis that you have to go to court to recover them and the pigs know you probably won't bother.

I've got a Bell 980 radar/laser detector and it's saved me from loads of tickets.

The false alarm problems are much reduced when you can switch off unused radar bands (on the better detectors) and the warning range is over 3 times that of the old Uniden model I had.

Good detectors can pick up X, K, Ka band and Laser signals but in the UK only K band and Laser are used. Gatso cameras are on K band and nearly all hand-held guns are now laser (or K).

I think the best option at the moment is a radar detector and a Morpheous Geodessy unit which uses GPS and has all the camera positions programed into it. Expensive though!
