hi all as title any diffence as im powder coating a 1993 plenum to go on my my 1990 was goiing to do the balance bar aswell but have noticed my balance bar is different to the 1993(has an extra pipe coming out off it) one and obviously dont want to spray the plenum and it wont go on my engine cheers

The car might be 1993 but that doesn't mean the engine is !!

 

Check post 30 which is mine and the later series 4 onwards spec, so basically if you DON'T have the two threaded holes on both your plenums either side at the front near the throttle bodies that are for covers for the return springs then both yours are the same and you're good to go.

your right mate whats it used for? as mine was an auto converted to manual so is it needed?

That extra take off will be the Clutch booster vaccum supply, on factory manual cars it connects to vac tanks in the inner wing I believe. In a converted car just loop it round from here to the nipple on the booster. You will need a check valve inline to make it work, I nicked one from a primera in the scrap yard. You will likely find at present it's T'eed off the brake booster vac.
