Nice to meet you guys! Im Mario from Rome.

This friday i've bought a mint 300zx TT from an elder man near my city, she is perfect, low mileage, always serviced and garaged and he wanted really little money.

She only have a little electronic problem.

The elder man, told me that the dash have a failing electronic board, but he wasnt able to find a replacement.

The things that dont work properly are: Odometer, Hicas, Cruise control, Econ, Mileage counter and sometime the power steering stop working for some minutes.

I dont know anything about electronic, you guys can give me an hint?

Thanks so much in advance for the infos, here are some picture of the car :) :

Welcome Mario. I'll leave experts to comment on the dash (being LHD, I'd guess they're km clocks so no converter to mph would have been needed). But the wheels are on the wrong way round (damn, not fast enough, beaten by Gary again). You should look at the part number stamped on the wheel itself and look for L = Left and R = Right because I don't think they did D and S.

Oh my god, i didnt noticed it LOL

I think these are the things you could except from an eldery man's car

front wing has poped out slightly)

Very apt for an elderly Italian - not from the Vatican was he?

Another tip don't jack the Z up under the front wing jacking point as this will pop the front wing out at the bottom (which I think your passenger front wing has poped out slightly)

Thanks so much for this info, so now i know why both front wing are little popped out.

I thought it was a factory things, both are popped out on the same identical extent

How can it be made to "pop back in" Gary...?

Its very common Mario. By the way your English is very good and your spelling better than mine lol. (Popped not poped):)

Really man ? I learned it by videogames, tv series and songs lol, i always thought my english was not soo good

Very nice Mario and welcome! I was in Rome this time last year. There can't be many Z32s in Italy in general!

Your faulty speedo is likely what's causing your PAS to fail intermittently. You could try a Japanese set of dash clocks. I know over here we convert from Japanese KM to UK Miles. I am sure it'll work the other way around. It's likely that your speedo has a dry joint. If you're handy with the soldering iron, you can fix it. There's a how-2 on here somewhere.

Potentially, having a correctly working dash could fix all your problems.

You may find if you pull the swage(under the car with the spot welds in)back out so it's vertical that may be enough to pull the bottom of the wing back in and reduce it. Mine was the same I did that and it's noticeably reduced it.

Bonjourno Mario,

Odometer is a mileage counter, do you mean speedometer? You need to check that the vehicle speed sensor located on the

side of the gearbox is plugged in and working. The signal generated by the sensor is used by the items you have listed.

Yeah here is a very rare car and very expensive to buy, i think we have only 200-300 z32 here. I was superlucky to find one very cheap.

Ah, so is only a speedo fault ? I dont know very much about the z32 (for now), what is a PAS ?

My problem is that i dont know anything about electronics, but i have skilled friends for it.
