What do you mean

What everyone is saying. Is that you cannot And will not get and acurate reading turning the engine over buy hand. Yourll need your engine in you car.take out the big green fuel fuse first so the car dosnt start and just turns over half a dozen revaloutions to get a acurate reading per cylinder.

The base coat looks pretty good there Ted considering you are painting the bloody thing on your drive again :scared: haha. If I were you, I wouldn't apply the lacquer to the whole car at once if you have to do it outside. Mask off and do a section at a time and try to shield it from the elements and the insects that seem to be attracted to wet paint, and plenty of tacking before you spray.

Looking forward to the finished item. Classic and Sports cars by the lake-6th September, I hope its ready by then??

I bet Denise is really happy that you have managed to change the colour of your driveway gravel from Buff to Metallic grey!:ohmy:

I hope you are both well mate, catch up with you both soon, keep it up!

Ah man! Sorry to hear this, don't let it get you down, I have to commend you for trying this yourself, I honestly wouldn't even attempt to do this, I figure I'll pay someone to do it and save myself a load of heart ache.

I'm giving you some Rep Ted as you totally deserve it for all the hard work, effort and dedication you have put into the Z yourself!:thumbup:

I think you should paint the stock covers, Looks like an awful lot of work and needless expense on pulling the pulleys and chroming them, plus you are basically removing any protection from the Timing Belt. Unless you're looking to have it looking like Lukes Z?? Have a look at the likes of Lees (Jaikai), he has done a fantastic job on his.
